OUR STORY
MTM was founded by Jon Brain & Oliver Wright with the aim of providing bespoke sport psychology support to athletes & coaches, helping them overcome mental barriers preventing them from achieving their desired goals & ambitions.
Jon & Oliver met during their undergraduate studies at Coventry University & pursued a postgraduate degree together at Loughborough University, during which they created a Sport Psychology podcast: Mastering the Mind Podcast.
With the podcast proving to be a successful endeavour, they decided to merge forces & build a platform which provides psychology support to sportspeople & individuals operating in high-performance environments.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THE MENTAL SIDE OF SPORT…
Jon & Oliver have a background in high-level football & like many sportspeople, have had personal experience of coping with the various mental demands of competing in sports such as overcoming a serious injury. These experiences are what drove both of them to want to help others in sport & pursue a career in sport psychology .
